James H. Moore Jr. Biography
James H. Moore, Jr.
President and Chief Executive OfficerJames H. Moore, Jr. is responsible for structuring and managing the University of Arizona Foundation, a comprehensive development program that generates more than $120 million annually in private funding for The University of Arizona.
Before joining UAF in March 2006, Jim served two and a half years as President and CEO of the University of Northern Colorado Foundation. His work there earned him a spot on The Northern Colorado Business Report’s “40 under 40” list of influential business leaders.
He’s held fund-raising and development positions at three other U.S. universities. From 2000-2003 he managed the UA Eller College of Management’s $100 million capital campaign as part of the University’s $1 billion Campaign Arizona.
Jim earned a master’s degree in management systems from Clarkson University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Northwest Missouri State.
Active in the community and his profession, Jim serves on the Commission on Philanthropy for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), an international organization for advancement professionals CASE National Committee for Institutionally Related Foundations board of directors for Compass Bank.
