The Raiser's Edge Known Issues
- 12/17/2007: Citrix users have partial windows or missing status toolbar
Description:
The Citrix software which allows remote access to RE was upgraded on 12/10/2007. A new client is supposed to automatically update upon first login. Sometimes, this update does not occur and the old client remains. The old client will sometimes display partial RE windows or not display some toolbars or status bars.Resolution:
Uninstall the old client via the Windows Add/Remove Programs facility. The Citrix client is named Citrix Presentation Server Client. Once the client is uninstalled, use your web browser to visit http://re.al.arizona.edu and you should be prompted to install the updated client (version 10.1). If after updating the client and display problems persist, check to make sure that the video adapter drivers for your workstation are up-to-date. - 12/17/2007: RE maximizes across both monitors for Citrix users with multiple monitors
Description:
The Citrix software which allows remote access to RE was upgraded on 12/10/2007. This upgrade was supposed to fix issues in supporting multiple monitor configurations. Unfortunately, the issue persists. When RE is started on a multiple monitor configuration, RE will start either maximized across both monitors or centered across both monitors.Resolution:
Manually move the RE window to one of the monitors. We have reported this issue to the vendor and await their response. - 7/1/2007: Organizations are not hierarchically arranged
Description:
Organizations, especially corporations with multiple geographic locations, are not hierarchically arranged. For example, all the constituent branches and divisions of JP Morgan Chase appear as individual organization records, and they are not organized in a way to easily see the entire corporation and the individual parts. This is an artifact of the data conversion from Benefactor.Resolution:
The Development Research Office, in collaboration, with the Information Services team, will assemble a valid and useful hierarchical arrangement for these organizations and apply the repair to the necessary organizations. This effort could not go forward in a useful way until the Final Run conversion was delivered. Workaround: Patience. Our consultants from Blackbaud remind us that assembling these organizational "trees" is a detailed process requiring thought and deliberation. We should place great emphasis on honoring the relationships of greatest importance to the UA. When this work is completed it will be wonderful.
