Arizona Assurance
Arizona Assurance is based on the premise that Arizona’s low-income students deserve the chance to pursue the best educational opportunities the state has to offer.
This financial assistance and retention program allows qualified Arizona students to graduate from the UA debt-free. This is achieved with a combination of resources for each student:
- Pell Grant
- Work/study job
- Assured gift support
Ways to Give
While current support comes from outright gifts and scholarships, the UA Foundation hopes to secure permanent public and private sources that will ultimately fund a $100 million endowment.
Student Benefits
Students whose family incomes are no more than $42,400 can apply for Arizona Assurance assistance. The program provides the student with:
- a stable financial source to fund the student’s education debt-free
- student-success services
- communications outreach to scholars, potential scholars, their families and school advisers
- financial advice
Community Benefits
Helping students whose financial situation would have otherwise prohibited attend to a university has far-reaching benefits.
The University of Arizona becomes a better institution by embracing groups of students with diverse interests, backgrounds and talents who might formerly have been shut out.
The state benefits from an increased number of educated citizens from which to grow the future workforce Arizona needs to succeed in the 21st century.
