Working Successfully with Program Officers

Featuring Gary Greenberg PhD, Science Program Officer, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation

Glean insights from a distinguished program officer in this truly exceptional opportunity to hear from an insider and learn the grantmaking process. What is the full role of a foundation program officer? How can you best discuss your project with a program officer? Where do the missions of the funder and prospective grantee come together? The most pressing questions about working with a program officer and the grantmaking process will be answered and you will walk away with tips and resources, and information not readily available from foundation websites.

As a science program officer, Gary focuses on advanced biological imaging technologies, cell and molecular biology, and biological research at the interface of physics, chemistry and engineering. Previously, Gary was a founding member and vice president for research at Science Foundation Arizona, where he oversaw an $80 million grant portfolio. He was also on the faculty at the University of Arizona.
